On the roads of war.

Music about the war and the music of the combatants' composers.
On the eve of the most “courageous” holiday, Defender of the Fatherland Day, the Cathedral prepared a special musical program. On February 22, guests of the cathedral will hear the favorite tunes of D. Shostakovich, F. Yarullin, I. Dunaevsky, O. Messiani, J. Allen, M. Ravel, M. Tariverdiev, O. Yanchenko.
The organ for this evening is the titular organist of the Cathedral, the laureate of international competitions Mansur Yusupov, the winner of international competitions Anna Alekseeva (organ).
According to the musician, the idea of a concert dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day came to him quite a long time ago: “..I have never heard concerts that were entirely composed of music by composers who wrote about the war or who fought at the front. I wanted to do something interesting, consisting of original compositions written during the war, in German captivity, besieged Leningrad.
